This patch removes all of the Set.* methods from Status.
This cleanup is part of a series of patches that make it harder use the
anti-pattern of keeping a long-lives Status object around and updating
it while dropping any errors it contains on the floor.
This patch is largely NFC, the more interesting next steps this enables
is to:
1. remove Status.Clear()
2. assert that Status::operator=() never overwrites an error
3. remove Status::operator=()
Note that step (2) will bring 90% of the benefits for users, and step
(3) will dramatically clean up the error handling code in various
places. In the end my goal is to convert all APIs that are of the form

How to read this patch?
The interesting changes are in Status.h and Status.cpp, all other

Summary:
[lldb][x86_64] This patch adds fs_base/gs_base support for Linux x86_64.
Originally, I plan to split the diff into two parts, one to refactoring lldb_xxx_x86_64 => x86_64::lldb_xxx across code base and the other one for adding fs_base/gs_base, but it turns out to be a non-trivial effort to split and very error prone so I decided to keep a single diff to get feedback.
GDB supports fs_base/gs_base registers while LLDB does not. Since both linux coredump note section and ptrace
supports them it is a missing feature.
For context, this is a required feature to support getting pthread pointer on linux from both live and dump debugging.

Implementation wise, we have initially tried `#ifdef` approach to reuse the code but it is introducing very tricky bugs and proves
hard to maintain. Instead the diff completely separates the registers between x86_64 and x86_64_with_base so that non-linux related
implementations can use x86_64 registers while linux uses x86_64_with_base.
Here are the list of changes done in the patch:
* Registers in lldb-x86-register-enums.h are separated into two: x86_64 and x86_64_with_base
* fs_base/gs_base are added into x86_64_with_base
* All linux files are change to use x86_64::lldb_xxx => x86_64_with_base::lldb_xxx
* Support linux elf-core:
* A new RegisterContextLinuxCore_x86_64 class is added for ThreadElfCore
* RegisterContextLinuxCore_x86_64 overrides and uses its own register set supports fs_base/gs_base
* RegisterInfos_x86_64_with_base/RegisterInfos_x86_64_with_base_shared ared added to provide g_contained_XXX/g_invalidate_XXX and RegInfo related code sharing.
* `RegisterContextPOSIX_x86 ::m_gpr_x86_64` seems to be unused so I removed it.
* `NativeRegisterContextDBReg_x86::GetDR()` is overridden in `NativeRegisterContextLinux_x86_64` to make watchpoint work.

"Dynamic register info" is a very overloaded term, and this particular
instance of it was only used for passing the information about the
"orig_[re]ax" pseudo-register on x86 through some generic code. Since
both sides of the code are x86-specific, I have replaced this with a
more direct route.

type of SetType but I forgot to build on x86 as well as arm64.

Currently, lldb-server was opening the executable file to determine the
process architecture (to differentiate between 32 and 64 bit
architecture flavours). This isn't a particularly trustworthy source of
information (the file could have been changed since the process was
started) and it is not always available (file could be deleted or
otherwise inaccessible).
Unfortunately, ptrace does not give us a direct API to access the
process architecture, but we can still infer it via some of its
responses -- given that the general purpose register set of 64-bit
applications is larger [citation needed] than the GPR set of 32-bit
ones, we can just ask for the application GPR set and check its size.

This fixes (works around) two errors with gcc-6.5.
- in the RegisterContext_x86 files, gcc is unable to synthesize a
default constructor -- it thinks it needs to initialize the virtual
base class, even though said classes are abstract. I fix that by
providing a dummy constructor.
- In ReproducerInstrumentationTest, it is not able to deduce that the
TestingRegistry class is movable (it contains a map of unique
pointers). I change the type from Optional<TestingRegistry> to
unique_ptr<TestingRegistry), so that moving is not required
(copying/moving a polymorphic type is not a very good idea in any
case).

The FXSAVE/XSAVE data can have two different layouts on x86_64. When
called as FXSAVE/XSAVE..., the Instruction Pointer and Address Pointer
registers are reported using a 16-bit segment identifier and a 32-bit
offset. When called as FXSAVE64/XSAVE64..., they are reported using
a complete 64-bit offsets instead.
LLDB has historically followed GDB and unconditionally used to assume
the 32-bit layout, with the slight modification of possibly
using a 32-bit segment register (i.e. extending the register into
the reserved 16 upper bits). When the underlying operating system used
FXSAVE64/XSAVE64..., the pointer was split into two halves,
with the upper half repored as the segment registers. While
reconstructing the full address was possible on the user end (and e.g.
the FPU register tests did that), it certainly was not the most
convenient option.
Introduce a two additional 'fip' and 'fdp' registers that overlap
with 'fiseg'/'fioff' and 'foseg'/'foff' respectively, and report
the complete 64-bit address.

This patch adds support for the _M and _m gdb-remote packets, which
(de)allocate memory in the inferior. This works by "injecting" a
m(un)map syscall into the inferior. This consists of:
- finding an executable page of memory
- writing the syscall opcode to it
- setting up registers according to the os syscall convention
- single stepping over the syscall
The advantage of this approach over calling the mmap function is that
this works even in case the mmap function is buggy or unavailable. The
disadvantage is it is more platform-dependent, which is why this patch
only works on X86 (_32 and _64) right now. Adding support for other
linux architectures should be easy and consist of defining the
appropriate syscall constants. Adding support for other OSes depends on
the its ability to do a similar trick.

Summary:
A *.cpp file header in LLDB (and in LLDB) should like this:

However in LLDB most of our source files have arbitrary changes to this format and
these changes are spreading through LLDB as folks usually just use the existing
source files as templates for their new files (most notably the unnecessary
editor language indicator `-*- C++ -*-` is spreading and in every review
someone is pointing out that this is wrong, resulting in people pointing out that this
is done in the same way in other files).
This patch removes most of these inconsistencies including the editor language indicators,
all the different missing/additional '-' characters, files that center the file name, missing
trailing `===//` (mostly caused by clang-format breaking the line).

This patch replaces explicit calls to log::Printf with the new LLDB_LOGF
macro. The macro is similar to LLDB_LOG but supports printf-style format
strings, instead of formatv-style format strings.
So instead of writing:

You'd write:
LLDB_LOG(log, "%s\n", str);
This change was done mechanically with the command below. I replaced the
spurious if-checks with vim, since I know how to do multi-line
replacements with it.

Introduce two common helpers to take care of splitting and recombining
YMM registers to/from XSAVE-like data. Since FreeBSD, Linux and NetBSD
all use XSAVE-like data structures but with potentially different field
layouts, the function takes two pointers -- to XMM register and to YMM
high bits, and copies the data from/to YMMReg type.
While at it, remove support for big endian. To mine and Pavel Labath's
combined knowledge, there is no such thing on x86. Furthermore,
assuming that the YMM register data would be swapped for big endian
seems to be a weird assumption.

A lot of comments in LLDB are surrounded by an ASCII line to delimit the
begging and end of the comment.
Its use is not really consistent across the code base, sometimes the
lines are longer, sometimes they are shorter and sometimes they are
omitted. Furthermore, it looks kind of weird with the 80 column limit,
where the comment actually extends past the line, but not by much.
Furthermore, when /// is used for Doxygen comments, it looks
particularly odd. And when // is used, it incorrectly gives the
impression that it's actually a Doxygen comment.
I assume these lines were added to improve distinguishing between
comments and code. However, given that todays editors and IDEs do a
great job at highlighting comments, I think it's worth to drop this for
the sake of consistency. The alternative is fixing all the
inconsistencies, which would create a lot more churn.

Summary:
We're using ptrace(PTRACE_SETREGSET, NT_X86_XSTATE) to write all non-gpt
registers on x86 linux. Unfortunately, this method has a quirk, where
the kernel rejects all attempts to write to this area if one supplies a
buffer which is smaller than the area size (even though the kernel will
happily accept partial reads from it).
This means that if the CPU supports some new registers/extensions that
we don't know about (in my case it was the PKRU extension), we will fail
to write *any* non-gpr registers, even those that we know about.
Since this is a situation that's likely to appear again and again, I add
code to NativeRegisterContextLinux_x86_64 to detect the runtime size of
the area, and allocate an appropriate buffer. This does not mean that we
will start automatically supporting all new extensions, but it does mean
that the new extensions will not prevent the old ones from working.
This fixes tests attempting to write to non-gpr registers on new intel
processors (cca Kaby Lake Refresh).

entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.
Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

These three classes have no external dependencies, but they are used
from various low-level APIs. Moving them down to Utility improves
overall code layering (although it still does not break any particular
dependency completely).

Summary:
The x86 FPR struct was defined as a struct containing a union between
two members: XSAVE and FXSAVE. This patch makes FPR a union directly to
remove one layer of indirection when trying to access the members.
The initial layout of these two structs is identical, which is
recognised by the fact that XSAVE has FXSAVE as its first member, so we
also considered removing one more layer and leave FPR identical to XSAVE
struct, but stopped short of doing that, as the FPR may be used to store
different layouts in the future (e.g., ones generated by the FSAVE
instruction).

Summary:
New linux kernels (on systems that support the XSAVES instruction) will
not update the inferior registers unless the corresponding flag in the
XSAVE header is set. Normally this flag will be set in our image of the
XSAVE area (since we obtained it from the kernel), but if the inferior
has never used the corresponding register set, the respective flag can
be clear.
This fixes the issue by making sure we explicitly set the flags
corresponding to the registers we modify. I don't try to precisely match
the flags to set on each write, as the rules could get quite complicated
-- I use a simpler over-approximation instead.
This was already caught by test_fp_register_write, but that was only
because the code that ran before main() did not use some of the register
sets. Since nothing in this test relies on being stopped in main(), I
modify the test to stop at the entry point instead, so we can be sure
the inferior did not have a chance to access these registers.

Summary:
This commit removes the concrete_frame_idx member from
NativeRegisterContext and related functions, which was always set to
zero and never used.
I also change the native thread class to store a NativeRegisterContext
as a unique_ptr (documenting the ownership) and make sure it is always
initialized (most of the code was already blindly dereferencing the
register context pointer, assuming it would always be present -- this
makes its treatment consistent).

This renames the LLDB error class to Status, as discussed
on the lldb-dev mailing list.
A change of this magnitude cannot easily be done without
find and replace, but that has potential to catch unwanted
occurrences of common strings such as "Error". Every effort
was made to find all the obvious things such as the word "Error"
appearing in a string, etc, but it's possible there are still
some lingering occurences left around. Hopefully nothing too
serious.

The goal here is to get lldbUtility into a state where it has
no dependendencies except on itself and LLVM, so it can be the
starting point at which to start untangling LLDB's dependencies.
These are all low level and very widely used classes, and
previously lldbUtility had dependencies up to lldbCore in order
to use these classes. So moving then down to lldbUtility makes
sense from both the short term and long term perspective in
solving this problem.

This patch refactors the way the XState type is checked and, in order to
simplify the code, it removes the usage of the 'cpuid' instruction: just checking
if the ptrace calls done throuhg ReadFPR is enough to verify both if there is
HW support and if there is kernel support. Also the XCR0 bits are enough to check if
there is both HW and kernel support for AVX and MPX.

Summary:
This patch uses the instruction CPUID to verify that FXSAVE, XSAVE, AVX
and MPX are supported by the target hardware. In case the HW supports XSAVE,
and at least one of the extended register sets, it further checks if the
target software has the kernel support for such features, by verifying that
their XSAVE part is correctly managed.

Summary:
The Intel(R) Memory Protection Extensions (Intel(R) MPX) associates pointers
to bounds, against which the software can check memory references to
prevent out of bound memory access.
This patch allows accessing the MPX registers:
* bnd0-3: 128-bit registers to hold the bound values,
* bndcfgu, bndstatus: 64-bit configuration registers,
This patch also adds read/write tests for the MPX registers in the register
command tests and adds a new subdirectory for MPX specific tests.

- Problem occurs when:
-- 32-bit inferiors run on x86_32 machine and
the architecture doesn't have AVX feature
-- This causes FPRType to be set to eFPRTypeFXSAVE
-- PTRACE_GETFPREGS was being used to read FXSAVE area
-- For 32-bit inferiors running on x86_32 machine,
PTRACE_GETFPREGS reads FSAVE area and not FXSAVE area
- Changed ptrace API to PTRACE_GETREGSET for 32-bit inferiors
-- This reads FPR data in FXSAVE format.
-- For 64-bit inferiors, no change has been made.
- Modified XFAIL for TestReturnValue.py
-- Earlier, this test was passing for Linux OS
-- Now, it passes for Android OS as well
