2022-11-29[clang][CodeGen] Add default attributes to __clang_call_terminateJohn Brawn
When generating __clang_call_terminate use SetLLVMFunctionAttributes to set the default function attributes, like we do for all the other functions generated by clang. This fixes a problem where target features from the command line weren't being applied to this function. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D138679

2022-09-15[OpenMP] Codegen aggregate for outlined function capturesGiorgis Georgakoudis
Parallel regions are outlined as functions with capture variables explicitly generated as distinct parameters in the function's argument list. That complicates the fork_call interface in the OpenMP runtime: (1) the fork_call is variadic since there is a variable number of arguments to forward to the outlined function, (2) wrapping/unwrapping arguments happens in the OpenMP runtime, which is sub-optimal, has been a source of ABI bugs, and has a hardcoded limit (16) in the number of arguments, (3) forwarded arguments must cast to pointer types, which complicates debugging. This patch avoids those issues by aggregating captured arguments in a struct to pass to the fork_call. Reviewed By: jdoerfert, jhuber6, ABataev Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D102107
2022-07-01[OpenMP][NFC] Reuse check lines for Clang/OpenMP testsJohannes Doerfert
I used a script to reuse existing check lines rather than creating new ones. There are more opportunities to reduce the line count but the "check generated functions" logic makes that somewhat tricky. FWIW, we really should redo the update script with all these use cases in mind... Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D128686
2022-04-07[OpaquePtrs][Clang] Add -no-opaque-pointers to tests (NFC)Nikita Popov
This adds -no-opaque-pointers to clang tests whose output will change when opaque pointers are enabled by default. This is intended to be part of the migration approach described in https://discourse.llvm.org/t/enabling-opaque-pointers-by-default/61322/9. The patch has been produced by replacing %clang_cc1 with %clang_cc1 -no-opaque-pointers for tests that fail with opaque pointers enabled. Worth noting that this doesn't cover all tests, there's a remaining ~40 tests not using %clang_cc1 that will need a followup change. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D123115

2020-07-15[CodeGen] Emit a call instruction instead of an invoke if the calledAkira Hatanaka
llvm function is marked nounwind This fixes cases where an invoke is emitted, despite the called llvm function being marked nounwind, because ConstructAttributeList failed to add the attribute to the attribute list. llvm optimization passes turn invokes into calls and optimize away the exception handling code, but it's better to avoid emitting the code in the front-end if the called function is known not to raise an exception. 2017-08-16[OPRNMP] Fix for PR33445: ICE: OpenMP target containing ordered for.Alexey Bataev
If exceptions are enabled, there may be a problem with the codegen of the finalization functions from OpenMP runtime. It happens because of the problem with the getting of thread identifier value. 2015-12-18[OPENMP] Remove explicit call for implicit barrierAlexey Bataev

captured variables. Currently all variables used in OpenMP regions are captured into a record and passed to outlined functions in this record. It may result in some poor performance because of too complex analysis later in optimization passes. Patch makes to emit outlined functions for parallel-based regions with a list of captured variables. It reduces code for 2*n GEPs, stores and loads at least. Codegen for task-based regions remains unchanged because runtime requires that all captured variables are passed in captured record. llvm-svn: 247251
