2024-08-09[IRBuilder] Generate nuw GEPs for struct member accesses (#99538)Hari Limaye
Generate nuw GEPs for struct member accesses, as inbounds + non-negative implies nuw. Regression tests are updated using update scripts where possible, and by find + replace where not.
2024-03-29[clang] Better SysV bitfield access units (#65742)Nathan Sidwell
Reimplement bitfield access unit computation for SysV ABIs. Considers expense of unaligned and non-power-of-2 accesses.
2023-06-15[OpenMP] Update the default version of OpenMP to 5.1Animesh Kumar
The default version of OpenMP is updated from 5.0 to 5.1 which means if -fopenmp is specified but -fopenmp-version is not specified with clang, the default version of OpenMP is taken to be 5.1. After modifying the Frontend for that, various LIT tests were updated. This patch contains all such changes. At a high level, these are the patterns of changes observed in LIT tests - # RUN lines which mentioned `-fopenmp-version=50` need to kept only if the IR for version 5.0 and 5.1 are different. Otherwise only one RUN line with no version info(i.e. default version) needs to be there. # Test cases of this sort already had the RUN lines with respect to the older default version 5.0 and the version 5.1. Only swapping the version specification flag `-fopenmp-version` from newer version RUN line to older version RUN line is required. # Diagnostics: Remove the 5.0 version specific RUN lines if there was no difference in the Diagnostics messages with respect to the default 5.1. # Diagnostics: In case there was any difference in diagnostics messages between 5.0 and 5.1, mention version specific messages in tests. # If the test contained version specific ifdef's e.g. "#ifdef OMP5" but there were no RUN lines for any other version than 5.X, then bring the code guarded by ifdef's outside and remove the ifdef's. # Some tests had RUN lines for both 5.0 and 5.1 versions, but it is found that the IR for 5.0 is not different from the 5.1, therefore such RUN lines are redundant. So, such duplicated lines are removed. # To generate CHECK lines automatically, use the script llvm/utils/update_cc_test_checks.py Reviewed By: saiislam, ABataev Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D129635 (cherry picked from commit 9dd2999907dc791136a75238a6000f69bf67cf4e)

2022-04-07[OpaquePtrs][Clang] Add -no-opaque-pointers to tests (NFC)Nikita Popov
This adds -no-opaque-pointers to clang tests whose output will change when opaque pointers are enabled by default. This is intended to be part of the migration approach described in https://discourse.llvm.org/t/enabling-opaque-pointers-by-default/61322/9. The patch has been produced by replacing %clang_cc1 with %clang_cc1 -no-opaque-pointers for tests that fail with opaque pointers enabled. Worth noting that this doesn't cover all tests, there's a remaining ~40 tests not using %clang_cc1 that will need a followup change. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D123115
2022-02-10Use functions with prototypes when appropriate; NFCAaron Ballman
A significant number of our tests in C accidentally use functions without prototypes. This patch converts the function signatures to have a prototype for the situations where the test is not specific to K&R C declarations. e.g., void func(); becomes void func(void); This is the seventh batch of tests being updated (there are a significant number of other tests left to be updated).

2021-07-26[Clang][OpenMP] Remove the mandatory flush for capture for OpenMP 5.1Shilei Tian
In OpenMP 5.1: > If the `write` or `update` clause is specifieded, the atomic operation is not an atomic conditional update for which the comparison fails, and the effective memory ordering is `release`, `acq_rel`, or `seq_cst`, the strong flush on entry to the atomic operation is also a release flush. If the `read` or `update` clause is specified and the effective memory ordering is `acquire`, `acq_rel`, or `seq_cst` then the strong flush on exit from the atomic operation is also an acquire flush. In OpenMP 5.0: > If the `write`, `update`, or **`capture`** clause is specified and the `release`, `acq_rel`, or `seq_cst` clause is specified then the strong flush on entry to the atomic operation is also a release flush. If the `read` or `capture` clause is specified and the `acquire`, `acq_rel`, or `seq_cst` clause is specified then the strong flush on exit from the atomic operation is also an acquire flush. From my understanding, in OpenMP 5.1, `capture` is removed from the requirement for flush, therefore we don't have to enforce it. 2021-02-11NFC: update clang tests to check ordering and alignment for atomicrmw/cmpxchg.James Y Knight
The ability to specify alignment was recently added, and it's an important property which we should ensure is set as expected by Clang. (Especially before making further changes to Clang's code in this area.) But, because it's on the end of the lines, the existing tests all ignore it. Therefore, update all the tests to also verify the expected alignment for atomicrmw and cmpxchg. While I was in there, I also updated uses of 'load atomic' and 'store atomic', and added the memory ordering, where that was missing.

2017-08-08Sema: disable implicit conversion from _Complex to real types in C++.Tim Northover
Converting a _Complex type to a real one simply discards the imaginary part. This can easily lead to loss of information so for safety (and GCC compatibility) this patch disallows that when the conversion would be implicit. The one exception is bool, which actually compares both real and imaginary parts and so is safe. llvm-svn: 310427
