2023-01-10Move from llvm::makeArrayRef to ArrayRef deduction guides - last partserge-sans-paille
This is a follow-up to https://reviews.llvm.org/D140896, split into several parts as it touches a lot of files. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D141298

Add a convenience for appending constructed string values. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D116682

2021-05-26[lldb][NFC] Use C++ versions of the deprecated C standard library headersRaphael Isemann
The C headers are deprecated so as requested in D102845, this is replacing them all with their (not deprecated) C++ equivalent. Reviewed By: shafik Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D103084
2020-07-22[lldb] Eliminate unneeded value parameters in Utility (NFC)Jonas Devlieghere
Eliminates value parameter for types that are not trivially copyable.
2020-01-28Make llvm::StringRef to std::string conversions explicit.Benjamin Kramer
This is how it should've been and brings it more in line with std::string_view. There should be no functional change here. This is mostly mechanical from a custom clang-tidy check, with a lot of manual fixups. It uncovers a lot of minor inefficiencies. This doesn't actually modify StringRef yet, I'll do that in a follow-up.
2020-01-24[lldb][NFC] Fix all formatting errors in .cpp file headersRaphael Isemann
Summary: A *.cpp file header in LLDB (and in LLDB) should like this: ``` //===-- TestUtilities.cpp -------------------------------------------------===// ``` However in LLDB most of our source files have arbitrary changes to this format and these changes are spreading through LLDB as folks usually just use the existing source files as templates for their new files (most notably the unnecessary editor language indicator `-*- C++ -*-` is spreading and in every review someone is pointing out that this is wrong, resulting in people pointing out that this is done in the same way in other files). This patch removes most of these inconsistencies including the editor language indicators, all the different missing/additional '-' characters, files that center the file name, missing trailing `===//` (mostly caused by clang-format breaking the line). 2019-08-19[lldb][NFC] Remove StringList::AutoCompleteRaphael Isemann
We don't need this very specific function in StringList that we only call once in LLDB. llvm-svn: 369242

2019-07-31[StringList] Change LongestCommonPrefix APIJonas Devlieghere
When investigating a completion bug I got confused by the API. LongestCommonPrefix finds the longest common prefix of the strings in the string list. Instead of returning that string through an output argument, just return it by value. llvm-svn: 367384
2019-01-19Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepoChandler Carruth
to reflect the new license. We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and repository. llvm-svn: 351636
2018-12-13[NFC] Small code cleanups in utility.Jonas Devlieghere
Fix a few small annoyances in Utility I ran into. llvm-svn: 348996
2018-11-11Remove comments after header includes.Jonas Devlieghere
This patch removes the comments following the header includes. They were added after running IWYU over the LLDB codebase. However they add little value, are often outdates and burdensome to maintain. Differential revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D54385 llvm-svn: 346625
2017-04-06iwyu fixes on lldbUtility.Zachary Turner
This patch makes adjustments to header file includes in lldbUtility based on recommendations by the iwyu tool (include-what-you-use). The goal here is to make sure that all files include the exact set of headers which are needed for that file only, to eliminate cases of dead includes (e.g. someone deleted some code but forgot to delete the header includes that that code necessitated), and to eliminate the case where header includes are picked up transitively. llvm-svn: 299676
